Espoir Care, formerly Being Human Care

What it is

We can mow and edge lawns, weed garden beds, trim small hedges and shrubs, rake leaves, sweep paths and take away green waste.

Safety comes first. Keeping paths and steps clear means you are less likely to trip or fall.

TODO confirm which jobs you do not do, for example tree removal or work at heights

TODO confirm NDIS registration for household tasks before saying you are registered

Who it is for

  • NDIS participants with household tasks in their plan
  • Veterans approved for home and garden maintenance through Veterans' Home Care
  • People paying privately who cannot keep up with the yard

What a typical visit looks like

  1. We walk around the yard with you and agree what you would like done.
  2. Our gardener comes on a regular schedule that suits the season.
  3. They take care of the jobs on the list and clear away the mess.
  4. They let you know if they spot something that needs attention, like a loose paver or a broken tap.

Questions people ask

How often will you come?

We agree a schedule with you. Lawns usually need more visits in summer than in winter.

Can you do landscaping?

No. We look after existing gardens and keep them safe and tidy. For landscaping or tree removal you will need a specialist.

Does the NDIS pay for gardening?

It can, if you cannot look after your yard because of your disability and it is included in your plan. Your plan manager or support coordinator can confirm.
