What cookies are
Cookies are small files a website saves in your browser. Some are needed for a site to work. Others help the owner understand how the site is used.
What we use
Your cookie choice
When you choose "Accept analytics" or "Decline", we remember your choice in your browser's local storage under the name espoir-consent.
It is not a cookie and it is never sent to us. It just stops the cookie banner from showing on every page.
Google Analytics (only if you accept)
If you choose "Accept analytics", we load Google Analytics 4. It tells us which pages people visit, how they found the site and what kind of device they use, so we can make the site easier to use. Until you accept, Google Analytics does not load at all and no analytics cookies are set.
| Cookie | What it does | How long it lasts |
|---|---|---|
_ga |
Tells one visitor apart from another | 2 years |
_ga_ followed by an ID |
Keeps track of your current visit | 2 years |
We use Google Consent Mode with everything turned off by default. Even if you accept analytics, advertising features stay off. Google's own privacy policy explains how Google handles this data: policies.google.com/privacy.
What we do not use
We do not use advertising cookies, tracking pixels, social media plugins or embedded maps.
Changing your choice
You can change your mind at any time. Use the "Cookie settings" link at the bottom of every page, or this button:
If you decline after accepting, we remove the Google Analytics cookies we can reach. You can also clear cookies in your browser settings, or install Google's opt-out browser add-on.
